No. 13 - Terrorism & The London Bombings
***That the bombers intended to blow something up to coincide with the G8 summit there can be no doubt, but there is much to consider with regard to the intention to kill themselves and the unfortunate victims in central London on the bus and underground.

***Millions around the world demonstrated against the proposed invasion of Iraq, and particularly the need to have United Nations approval of any such operations.   It is therefore not surprising that the Moslem population in the UK felt very much involved in the actions that have taken place in that theatre.   There is also the continuing struggle between the Israelis and the Palestinians.  The Road Map appears to be taking a route not envisaged by onlookers to that struggle.   Already we see the building of more than 3 ,500 properties on the West Bank whilst Israeli settlers continue to oppose leaving the Gaza Strip.

***These facts are no excuse for any form of terrorism in a stable society where demonstrations are the norm for any discontents.   However, with a war that many considered illegal it is not difficult to see how young moslems may well have felt obliged to make some sort of protest whilst president Bush was in the UK.

***It would appear from the facts, that these bombers were heading for targets to gain publicity for their objection to the ongoing war which they regarded as against their fellow Moslems to coincide with the G8 summit.

***The following facts should be noted by all before condemning these bombers and labelling them as “Suicide Bombers”.   The bombers had return tickets to Luton.   The bombs went off simultaneously which suggests without little doubt that the bombs they were carrying were in fact time-bombs.   This again would suggest that the Mastermind behind the bombings had mislead them into what turned out to be the worst outrage in London since WW2.   We know of the Egyptian with a Ph.D in Chemistry who had mysteriously returned to Egypt who was living in close proximity to the bombers in Leeds.   This must leave some room for doubt as to the intention to kill themselves and the victims of the London tragedy.

***The parents of those bombers found it perplexing in the least how their sons could have considered such an act of terrorism.   There is room to believe that they didn’t intend to kill themselves or any other innocent bystanders.   The guilty person or persons are those that mislead them into thinking they would be coming home after their illegal deed, i.e. Blowing up unknown targets in order to gain publicity for their objection to actions by the US government and, subsequently the support of the UK government in what has become known as “The War on Terrorism”.

***The irony in this case is that some of those that died in London may well have been demonstrators against the Iraq War.  It would appear that the West has opened up a Hornets Nest in attacking Iraq.  It would also appear that the attempt to establish a government in Afghanistan has had little effect on the growing of Opium Poppies to supply the Drug Barons of the Western World.
