No.1 The Politics of Envy
The history of the UK is what made us what we are today. There are those that wish to destroy the roots of our society as we know it. The direction that we take in the United Kingdom is decided by popular vote whether that be from the Left, Right, or Centre. The Royal Family is accepted with varying degrees of repugnance by certain members of the Labour Party, although they don’t have direct control over how the country is steered whereas, in the USA the direction is decided very much by the power of money. Take away our heritage and we will surrender to the whims of the Money Markets.
We have just seen the use of the Parliament Act to pass a bill banning hunting. Anyone who knows anything about hunting knows that it is supported by those that were born and work in the countryside. It would appear that those that have voted for the outright ban have done so in the belief that those that take part are a privileged minority on a par with the Royal Family. This is far from the true picture and is rather like saying that Mountain Climbers, Bungee Jumpers, Surfers, and any other risk sport undertakers are a privileged minority. Working on this logic of those with money, presumably these same politicians will soon be banning Formula 1 motor racing.
One of the main money earners in countries, not just ours is tourism. The main attraction for the Americans to the UK is our traditions including our Queen and associated Pomp & Circumstance.
If the banners want a list of things to ban perhaps they could start with battery hens which only see the light of day when they are in the butcher’s shop window.
