Bus Timetables

Train times are the same as those departing from Seaford +5 minutes for Newhaven Harbour, & +7 minutes for Newhaven Town. There are two trains each weekday for Victoria where it isn’t necessary to change at Lewes. The 0704 (Newhaven Town) and the 0828 (Newhaven Town). The total journey time is 1 hr. 30 mins. approximately from Newhaven to Victoria. All other trains continue to Brighton and it is necessary to change at Lewes for other destinations. There is usually an allowance of 4 minutes to connect with trains from Hastings/Eastbourne bound for London Bridge or Victoria. Most early morning trains are for London Bridge and it is necessary to change at East Croydon for Victoria.

The Transmanche ferry travels from Newhaven to Dieppe. Due to tidal restrictions the schedule is sometimes running late and this applies mainly during the Spring Tides. We will endeavour to inform our website visitors as to the situation both for arrival delays and also for any cancelled sailings due to inclement weather. Watch this space !

Town Centre Shops If you drive through Newhaven on your way to Brighton or Eastbourne you may well not be aware of all the shops in the town centre. There is a car park at the bus terminus with approximately 40 spaces and a two-story car park which holds approximately 150 cars.
A street market is held on Thursdays & Saturdays.
